
Theater - Macomb Center for the Performing Arts is located just south in Clinton Township and features various shows like the Letterman, Ann Margaret, Larry Gatlin, and the Gatlin Brothers, Lou Rawls, and The Temptations. Just west in Macomb Township is the Beaumont Medical Center along with several other large hospitals throughout Macomb, Oakland, and Wayne Counties. Children's Hospital of Michigan Stilson Specialty Center is also located in Clinton Township and offers all types of pediatric specialties. Hospitals - Henry Ford Macomb Hospital located in nearby Clinton Township offers 435 beds, along with a heart center, cancer center, birthing center, and more. Also in neighboring Rochester, Michigan, you will find Oakland University which offers 132 baccalaureate degree programs and 117 graduate degree and certificate programs. You are within 10 minutes of Macomb Community College where you can receive an associate's degree and through Macomb University a bachelor's and master's degree. Most of Shelby Twp is covered by the Utica school district, but there is a small section in the northern part that is Romeo schools and a small section near the mid-west border that is Rochester schools. There are also several strip malls in the area with small businesses, numerous restaurants, and large name-brand stores.Įducation - Shelby Township consists of 3 school districts. Shopping - As for shopping, there are three large shopping malls within 10 -20 minutes - Lakeside Mall, Partridge Creek, and the Village of Rochester Hills. It borders Washington Township to the north, Sterling Heights to the south, Rochester Hills to the west, and Macomb Twp to the east. It also has access to both major expressways I-94 and I-75.


There are also several other main roads running north and south. Travel - M-53 is the main throughway into Shelby Township, and it runs north and south with easy access to 26 Mile on the north end and Hall Road /M-59 on the south end and 23 Mile in between, all of which provide good east-west access.
